      DESCRIPTION:

Our glass air slits are available only from the #1 coverslip material Thermanox. The optical properties closely resemble glass without some of the negative glass characteristics. The material is almost unbreakable, has no micro cracking and a refractive index of 1.64. The glass typically used has an index of 1.52.     APPLICATIONS:
Glass slits may be used in situations that may require transparency, non-conductance, or non-isolation.  Applications may include phase-sifting, MEMS and anodic bonding.  These slits have diverse applications for the telecom, medical, pharmaceutical, and optical industries.   

       PACKAGING:
Each precision aperture is packaged in a clear plastic case, which allows for ease of identification and inspection.  A second case encloses the part for added protection.
